| The Diversity & Intergroup Relations Lab
conducts experimental research regarding social perception,
judgment, behavior, and memory in diverse settings. Much of
our work examines how people communicate, think, and
interact in interracial contexts. We are motivated by the
desire to advance social psychological theory related to
this wide range of processes, but also to conduct research
with practical implications for real-world domains such as
higher education, the legal system, and popular media. We
approach these issues from a social cognition perspective,
but also one that emphasizes the importance of measuring
actual behavior in the course of investigating human nature. Learn more >
