  MACC Community Based AmeriCorps*VISTA:

What is the Community Based AmeriCorps*VISTA Program?
Based on the desire of member campuses to support community partner organizations through the challenges of the current economic climate, fifteen AmeriCorps*VISTA members will be based full-time at community-based organizations across the state for the 2009-2010 program year. With a proven track record of success over the past twelve years of the campus based AmeriCorps*VISTA program, MACC is pleased to offer this opportunity to community-based organizations that partner with MACC member campuses. This opportunity helps support and expand the partnerships that exist between campuses and their local communities.

Funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service Massachusetts State Office through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Community Based AmeriCorps*VISTA members will address two program goals: Volunteer Coordination and Organizational Capacity Building. These members will help increase services provided to clients in the local communities.
