Leontief Prize – Awarded annually by GDAE in memory of Wassily Leontief, the prize is designed to recognize outstanding contributions to economic theory that address contemporary realities and support just and sustainable societies. Most recently, GDAE interviewed Dr. Bina Agarwal, who with Dr. Daniel Kahneman was awarded the institute's Leontief Prize. Dr. Agarwal spoke on the importance of smallholders, women farmers, and the impacts of climate change.
