Ramón Bueno was a guest on Climate Conversations, an MIT climate change podcast, to discuss the devastation in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. Bueno outlines the significance of the centralized power system in Puerto Rico, and how its reliance on fossil fuels has failed the people of Puerto Rico. Bueno and the team also look at how the hurricane amplified social and economic justice issues. Listen here.

Dr. William Moomaw was interviewed in a UK investigative reporting documentary, "The True Cost of Green Energy", from Dispatches that examines the government-subsidised renewable energy industry and asks whether burning wood is really a more environmentally friendly alternative to burning coal. The Dispatches episode was also covered by Ecologist and Daily Mail .

Dr. William Moomaw appeared in the documentary "Burning American Forests to Electrify Europe", to address the counterproductive bioenergy policies in the United Kingdom and European Union that have driven the clear-cutting of American forests.

GDAE Senior Research Fellow Timothy A. Wise wrote extensively about the biannual summit the World Trade Organization held in Buenos Aires last month. With colleagues from the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy, he wrote two articles (here and here) on the WTO’s failure to address the critical issue of low prices and agricultural dumping; see him speak on this issue here.

2017 Food Tank Summit  "Episode 3: Border Brews" features Timothy A. Wise on NAFTA
On September 28, 2017, Timothy A. Wise was interviewed about NAFTA during "Episode 3: Border Brews" of the podcast series Uprooted, produced by the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy. The episode looks at how the beer industry has used NAFTA to move production and how it's import and export statistics are being manipulated to call it a win for Mexican agriculture.

On September 18, 2017, Frank Ackerman was a guest on WBUR's On Point with Tom Ashbrook during an episode entitled "Depopulated And Destroyed: The Caribbean's Irma Losses." The episode examines the devastation to the Caribbean islands after Hurricane Irma and the way forward. Ackerman discusses findings from his 2008 study, "The Caribbean and Climate Change: The Costs of Inaction" and references insights from his new book, Worst-Case Economics: Extreme Events in Climate and Finance.
