Meet the Staff

Maura Leary
Program Coordinator, Tufts Summit and Tufts in Annecy
Maura Leary has worked at the European Center since January 2005. Maura attended Connecticut College, graduating in 2001 with a major in French, and spent her junior year abroad with IES in Nantes, France. She was awarded a place as a Pensionnaire Etrangère at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris after her graduation and spent a year there studying Translation, Literature, and French. She has since lived in Boston, working at the French Library/ Alliance Francaise and EDN Magazine at Reed Business Information before joining the European Center team. Maura is an avid Francophile and a cappella musician and enjoys watching the Red Sox from April to October…especially in October.


Adam Schoene
Program Coordinator, Tufts in Talloires
As a "Triple Jumbo" and Tufts in Talloires student twice over, Adam could not resist the chance to embark on one more Tufts experience. He previously worked for the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs and instructed French for a high school study abroad program in Switzerland. Adam holds graduate degrees in French and International Relations, and continues to cultivate these interests while in Medford and Talloires. Off the job, he is most happy exploring the world outdoors (especially if it includes mountains and lakes)! Adam aims to make cross-cultural exchange as enriching as possible, and looks forward to welcoming others to experience Tufts in Talloires.
