Course Credit Information

Credit for work completed at Tufts is organized around the concept of "course credits." In general, most courses at Tufts provide one course credit upon completion. Some courses are offered as "half-courses" (.5 course credit) or have variable course credit (0.0 to 3.0 course credits).

Course credits should not be confused with semester-hour credits. Each course credit at Tufts is equivalent to four semester hours of university credit. Thus, a ten course degree program is equivalent to 40 semester hours of academic credit.
