How does a school deal with tragedy? When a young student at the
Brophy School in Framingham tragically died last week in an automobile
accident, art teacher Rachel Shuman, M.A.T. in Art Education ('07),
thought that creating a garden at the school would be an appropriate
way to honor her. Together, students and staff worked to create the garden,
and the results are stunning. The garden is a burst of life and color in
what is surely a very difficult time for the school community and for the
family.
