Graduate Student Activities and Associations

Graduate study can be a very hectic and intense experience. To promote interaction between students from different programs, the department provides lectures, social events and other activities. Events sponsored by the department are usually advertised  by e-mail, and/or posted on flyers and on the department's home page.

The University Graduate Student Council
The Graduate Student Council was developed to provide an opportunity for graduate students with various programs and department at Tufts to share ideas and discuss important issues related to graduate life at Tufts University. It represents the concerns of graduate students to the University. The Graduate Student Council is composed of an executive board and a representative from each department.

All students are encouraged to attend meetings and to contribute to discussions regarding graduate student policies and issues. Interested students should contact the Graduate Student Council's office, located at the Graduate and Professional Studies Office, x73576. Usually, in the fall semester, there is a social gathering sponsored by the Graduate School for graduate students throughout the University.

"The Tufts GSC is a great way for Education students to get involved in the Tufts graduate community. I have enjoyed the various social events planned each semester, and I have met a lot of cool people. As a former representative for the Education Department, I encourage all students to get involved." - (M.A.T. Alumni)
