Project Coordinator for the Impact of Early Algebra project

  • B.F.A., Tufts University/The School of the Museum of Fine Arts

Amelia St. Peter-Blair is the Project Coordinator of a NSF funded grant titled, Impact of Early Algebra. In 2008, she began her work with the Project as a research photographer during a week-long summer algebra camp. She now facilitates the Project’s logistical aspects working closely between students, parents, teachers and researchers. She also designs the Project’s website and promotional materials. In addition to her Project Coordinator responsibilities, Amelia is investigating how best to bring Media Studies and video production programs to grades 7-12 art classrooms. Also an independent filmmaker, she brings creative social interpretations to the screen with both fiction and non-fiction work. She hopes to incorporate her love for media arts with her drive for improving students’ opportunities within public education.

Amelia earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Tufts University in conjunction with The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Massachusetts, where she studied film, video and sound production. She can be reached at (617) 627-4207 or amelia.spblair@tufts.edu.
