SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Junior Kaylee Maykranz (Jackson, WY) and sophomore Kathleen Holec (New Canaan, CT) of the Tufts University women's crew team won the Collegiate Double at the Head of the Fish Regatta on Sunday.

The Tufts pair won by nearly 28 seconds with their finishing time of 14:56.82. A Colgate pair was teh runner-up with a 15:24.39 time. The Jumbos had four boats in the race overall, including the eighth-place finisher (16:26.08).

Two Jumbo foursomes also competed in the Collegiate 4X final. The 4X is a quadruple scull race, with each of the four scullers using two oars each. One Tufts team was fourth in 14:55.05 and the other was fifth with a time of 15:21 flat.

This was the last competition of the fall season for Tufts.
