Katrina Moore, Africana
Center Director
Katrina Moore is an accomplished manager with a solid track record of results
based performance and a deep commitment to the personal and
professional career development of underrepresented minority college
age students. She is courageous, straightforward and has developed a
reputation as having the ability to handle difficult, complex and
sensitive issues.
Katrina applies her deep commitment to the development of
underrepresented minority college students by developing strong
relationships and serving as their advisor for success in the
corporate work environment and helps sponsoring companies to gain
access to diverse talent to help them meet their business
objectives. She is a strong program developer and has founded and
led the implementation of community and youth programs and events
that salute and honor the work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and
that have become a twenty-year MetroWest community tradition. These
programs include the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Breakfast
celebration in Framingham MA and the MLK Youth Conference for
students in grades 1 - 12.
As a seasoned project management professional and trusted advisor
with over 20 years of corporate work experience, she has a proven
ability to work independently or interface with all levels of an
organization, and supervise and motivate team members to get the job
done. She has advised senior management on strategic development
opportunities and strategic planning which resulted in the funding
and resource allocation for several large complex projects, and
personal accountability for key project requirements
She was recognized as a Boston YMCA Black Achiever and was a member
of The Partnership's Fellows Class and has volunteered on several
boards exercising leadership roles, most recently as chair of
Leadership MetroWest.
Katrina received her BA and M.Ed degrees from North Carolina Central
University in Durham, North Carolina.
